Excursión Santoña - Laredo

1st November. No classes in university and therefore and excellent opportunity to travel and explore the 
region around Santander. As Marco and I had already marked this day in our agendas a long time before, I almost started to invite people to join us for the trip without having fixed a destination. On Sunday evening we eventually decided to go by bus to the city of Santoña, a small village about 35 kilometers east of

On Sunday evening we eventually decided to go by bus to the city of Santoña, a small village about 35 kilometers east of 
Santander. Until one week ago we had extremely good late summer weather here in Cantabria. Now it seems that this story is coming to an end. Wednesday was one of the first colder days –and in the beginning rainy as well.
Once arrived in Santoña, we had a coffee in a bar and tried to find out what there was actually to see here. We means Inga, Katrin, Sebastian and Dominik from Germany, Sarah from the US, Thomas from Sweden, Marco from Brasil and I. The fishing harbour is really beautiful and after we
had spent some time taking pictures of eachother, the bay and the hills covered in blankets of fog, we continued our way along the water. After we had checked out the church of Santoña, it seemed that we had seen more or less everything there was to see in Santoña. We returned to the bus station to check when we could go to Laredo, a village nearby.

We returned to the bus station to check when we could go to Laredo, a village nearby. After the lunch we took the 
bus there, and Laredo appeared to be bigger and to our taste also more beautiful than Santoña. Some small streets of the older city part lead us to the ascent of a hill overlooking Laredo and the sea bay –breathtaking! We spend more than one hour walking around, admiring the marvelous views and taking pictures. After the descent we went to see the beach and then it was already time to catch our bus back to Santander. Seeing Laredo in two hours, it was not easy but I think we saw a beautiful part of it. ey, vamos que te lo estas pasando mal no??? jejej, yo todos los veranos voy unos dias con mis amigos a Laredo al camping de fiesta, mucha gente del norte de España va y se montan buenas.
Yo por Francia muy bien, me lo estoy pasando cojonudo, de momento no paro asi q de lujo.
